OREGON, ILL. March 20, 2020 – Today, the Governor of Illinois announced a “shelter in place” order for State of Illinois starting tomorrow. Based on guidance from the State and U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Woods plans for its Illinois and Wisconsin facilities to remain open. “We recognize that our industry is essential to the country’s well-being under the classifications of ‘food and agriculture, transportation and logistics, and infrastructure’” according to Woods president, Jerry Johnson. Johnson further iterated that, “Caring for our employees and customers are at the heart of our COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan, which is now in its eighth week of operation. Our early start and ongoing response in addressing the virus has bolstered our ability to remain safe and productive.” The company has maintained open communication with employees, customers and suppliers and is practicing Center for Disease Control guidelines in all of its facilities
