Would be great...if wheels shafts were beefier.

I’m not sure if Woods will actually post my review since it is not positive enough. I have had this mower for several years, and like it…BUT keep bending the wheel shafts. I have to be SUPER careful when using it. They simply are not thick enough to carry this 1200 pound mower. In slightly sandy turf or SLIGHTLY rough turf, they do not caster as they should, so they simply BEND. Why Woods doesn’t design these thicker amazes me. This is the third mower that I’ve bent wheels on, and I’m NOT abusing it. Just think…each wheel carries 300 pounds! When it doesn’t caster around, it simply BENDS. I just looked at a slightly used one the other day. It was like brand new…except that every wheel was bent…which is probably why it was sold.

Failures less than 1 year old

    Charles Rauch

A wheel hub broke less than 1 season of use on 4 acres of smooth flat pasture. On the same pasture a cheap Italian mower lasted 11 years without changing anything except blades.
